Swimming with sharks in Belize

Located just inside the reef, to the south of Ambergris Caye in Belize is “Shark-Ray Alley”. This popular dive site is home to Nurse Sharks and Southern Sting Rays, which have a great tolerance for divers and seem to enjoy the human interaction

The rays, which have a ‘wing-span’ of two to four feet, swim directly towards divers, inviting them to reach out and stroke their wings. The Nurse Sharks average four to six feet in length, and the dive masters often feed them small fish.

Swimming with the sharks is one activity you must do when visiting Belize. When you attend an Orchid Bay Buyer’s Tour, you could find yourself swimming with the sharks.
