The busy tourist season in Belize runs from November to April, but the summer is a great time to visit if you want to experience how the community comes together to share their local culture. One of the most popular and internationally recognized events during the summer is Lobsterfest, which attracts thousands of lobster-lovers every year.
The festivals begin on June 15, the official opening day for lobster season, and feature live music, cultural performances, lobster themed costumes, eating competitions, beauty pageants, and more!

Ambergris Caye-San Pedro: June (15th – 26th)

Caye Caulker: July (1st – 3rd)
The original Lobster Fest of Belize, Caye Caulker is the birthplace of Belizean Lobsterfest. Caye Caulker takes its Miss Lobsterfest pageant tradition very seriously. Teens showcase beauty and charm to win the coveted title.
Placencia: June (24th – 26th)
The Placencia Lobsterfest is a fundraising event for the Placencia Village Council and the Placencia Chapter of the Belize Tourism Industry Association. The event also plays a major role in sustaining local businesses during the low tourism season.
